Supporting camera systems up to 8kg, the head features Manfrotto’s Variable Continuous Fluid Drag System on both pan and tilt axes, providing smooth, precise movement across a wide range of professional video applications. Its counterbalance system, optimised for 4.4kg at a 55 mm centre of gravity, helps maintain stability, while reducing operator effort during extended shoots.
Both heads feature Manfrotto’s side-lock camera plate mechanism with top attachment for fast camera mounting and balancing, and both are fully compatible with the XCHANGE quick release ecosystem, enabling rapid transitions between tripods, sliders, dollies, and other support systems without tools.
The Manfrotto ONE Video Aluminium Tripod kit with the 500X head is priced at £399, while that featuring the 502X is available on pre-order at £469. The 502X Fluid Video Head is available separately, priced at £229, with the 500X costing £164.
